Polestar announced local production in Europe with the Polestar 7 navigating Chinese anti-subsidy tariffs and 10% import tariffs currently in place and would also allow a route to the US replicating Volvo Cars' plans to export the EX30 from Belgium to the US.

Without knowing more, one would suggest it would be made at Volvo Cars Ghent facility on the same SEA Geely platform as the EX30, which begins Belgian production later this year. The company said they aim to base their models on a one-platform strategy going forward, which would likely be Geely's scalable SEA1 and SEA2 all-electric platform.
On regulatory credits, the company expects to achieve a three-digit million-dollar amount per year from 2025. Polestar has already created an EU CO2 pool with four OEMs for 2025 (Mercedes, Smart and Volvo, although the two latter are expected to also be benefactors of regulatory credits from Mercedes-Benz AG).
As previously announced, Polestar will enter the French region in 2025. a market which was previously restricted to them due to a legal trademark dispute with Stellantis
