Less than 3ppts separated the new passenger car plug-in (NEV) mixes witnessed in China and Western Europe last year, according to the European Electric Car Study.

While China was dominated by BEVs, despite an increased appetite for long-range PHEVs during the second half of the year, Western Europe saw a more equal split (39% PHEV / 61% BEV) with 5 of the 18 market region still favouring PHEVs over BEVs last year.
